Transcript of Can I get COVID-19 from the vaccine?

Well, this is a really common question, and the answer is no.

There is no live virus in the COVID-19 vaccines, and the two types of vaccine that we use are the mRNA vaccines, or the Pfizer and Moderna vaccine, and the AstraZeneca vaccine.

And the way these vaccines work is, they actually teach the cell to make the spike protein and the body creates an immune response or antibodies to the spike protein that that circulates in the bloodstream ready to fight infection should we meet the COVID-19 virus.

So you absolutely can't catch COVID-19 from these vaccines.
