Transcript of Are all the vaccines equal in effectiveness?

So no, vaccines aren't all equally effective, but we're fortunate that the vaccines in the Australian COVID-19 program are very effective against severe disease.
Pfizer and Moderna and AstraZeneca are all over 92 per cent effective against preventing us from getting severe disease. So that means us going to hospital, going to the intensive care unit or even dying.

But the vaccines do differ in how effective they are. And it's really important that we continue to monitor that and that we also monitor how safe they are.
